Sissy's song

I heard this song last week on the radio by Alan Jackson and bursted into tears when I heard the lyrics. My MIL was killed in a car accident in July and this song so fitted her and our situation to a T. I told my husband a couple of days ago about this song and he also starting crying too. I can't beleive that it has been 8 months with her gone. I keep expecting her to one day walk through the door and be here. We miss her so much!!! This song is for you Kitty! If you get the chance here is the link to watch the video. It's great. http://alanjackson.com/home/SS_vid.php

Why did she have to go

So young I just don't know why Things happen half the time

Without reason without rhyme

Lovely, sweet young woman

Daughter, wife and mother

Makes no sense to me

I just have to believe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels

By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees

And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting

And I know she's smiling saying

Don't worry 'bout me

Loved ones she left behind

Just trying to survive

And understand the why

Feeling so lost inside

Anger shot straight at God

Then asking for His love

Empty with disbelief

Just hoping that maybe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels

By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees

And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting

And I know she's smiling saying

Don't worry 'bout me

It's hard to say goodbye

Her picture in my mind

Will always be of times I'll cherish

And I won't cry 'causeS

he flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels

By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees

And she walks with jesus and her loved ones waiting

And I know she's smiling saying

Don't worry 'bout me

Don't worry 'bout meDon`t worry 'bout me

Is spring coming??

I have some crocus flowers all in bloom here and there last week. They kind of look like these ones but now they are covered in snow. It's suppose to snow on and off all week long and I think our highs are going to be in the 40's. UMMMM where in the heck is spring I say?? My poor flowers I think are going to shrivel up and hide :(

Twilight Movie weekend

Well I have already seen the movie once but bought it yesterday to watch again. Poor hubby is going to have to suffer a "chick flick". Atleast he will be caught up with the Twilight craze. I'm a little behind at it myself as I'm only on the second book. I'm not a huge reader but I have enjoyed them so far.

What a life

The other day I went into Bridger's room and he was so sound asleep he wasn't going to wake up for anything. Somedays I think being a baby is where it's at. Can you beleive he's already 9 months old now? It has gone by so fast!!

He said Yes...

So about a month ago I went to this marriage/dating class our church had for fun on a Sat. Well these two guys who taught this class are really good friends and have been married for a few years and their kids are grown. So they decided about 10 years ago they wanted to "spice" up the way they dated their wives. So like high school dances go you ask in a cute way, well they do the same to their wives. But they make it even more complicated like it has to have a theme and so on. What they do is go out and find little charms for charm bracelets and plan a date around the charm they find so then their wives get to keep the charm and remember the date. Like we live here in Utah and we have this fun place called Antelope Island that has different animals like buffalo and antelope and such. So one of their dates was to go and see the buffalo out there and then for dinner they had buffalo wings. So this friend of mine that went to the class with me thought this was such a fun idea as well as I did so we decided to tell our guys who are friends also about this fun dating thing. Well last month they kind of failed~haha, no we had a fun time but us gals decided it was our turn and we would show them how it's done~haha. So we decided to have a picnic in the park and to play some football which we will tomorrow. So we made this cute little red checked gift bag with cute paper ants on the outside that in the inside held football confetii and treats. I found this cute picnic song that I had a couple of girls sing to the guys. Well last night they decided to answer us back and I have to say they did an awesome job!! Even went with the theme. We got this cute easter basket filled with treats and a football that says they could never pass up this hot date. Way to go guys. I have to say it took me a while to think of fun things. The best part of it all is I know my date won't say no~haha

Our first arm break

So I posted my thought about chocolate and it ended up being one of those days where there wasn't enough chocolate~lol I dropped Gage off to school this afternoon as he has afternoon Kindergarden. They have a playground up front and that is where they play until school starts and the teacher comes and gets them. Well I get a call 15 minutes after school starts saying that Gage had fallen and possibly broke his wrist. So I went over to the school and sure enough his poor wrist was swollen but good. I had to laugh though as his teacher said he didn't cry or anything. He didn't even say anything until he went to write his name on the paper and couldn't. So I took him to the instacare where they did an xray and he had broken his wrist in two spots. He has to wear a splint until Monday morning when he gets his real cast. My husband and I are honestly suprised it took him 6 years to break something cause this kid is all boy. I will have to snap a picture of the before and after cast pictures. Poor guy :(

Quote of the day...

There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate.

Happy Birthday Kaylee

It just dunned on me that today is Friday the 13th and it's Kaylee's 4th birthday. So far her luck has been good :) I just wanted to wish you a happy 4th birthday. You have been such a miracle baby in our lifes. Four years ago my baby was due on May 13th but decided that March was much better. She was such a headstrong and fiesty little thing that she made a good go at life. She never had to be on oxygen which I'm still amazed about that even with her being as sick as she was. She had e-coli really bad from the placenta being all infected and blood clots on her brain. She weighed a whole 3 pounds. She stayed in the NICU for 5 weeks. It was so hard to have a baby and then leave it there to visit everyday. I have to laugh though as how strong she was back then she hasn't changed much now today. It has to be her way and her way is going to work and is going to be the best. She has been such a blessing to us in our lives. She is such a funny outgoing little girl and loves everyone and everything. Happy Birthday Kaylee!!! Love mom

Being goofs

Kaylee and her cousin Carver thought it would be funny to stick hotdogs in their mouths and bounce around. They were laughing so hard and my sister and I all we could do is laugh and wonder where these two kids came from~haha. They must inherit it from their father's. :)

Kaylee's party

Last week I threw Kaylee and her friend Ellee a birthday party. Ellee's birthday is the 8th of this month and Kaylee's is this friday the 13th. They had so much fun. We had a little tinker bell theme going on. Poor Bridger was part of the action too which I think he was a little scared of them.~haha. Kaylee and Ellee are so much alike. They remind me of little teenagers when they are together.

a fun project

I had a customer order some dolls from me this past week for her 3 granddaughter. It has been so much fun to do. I'm doing a bigger doll for each girl and then a mini me doll to go with each big doll. This cute girl loves hats and tigers. I found this cute fabric and hats at Micheals. I'm excited to do the others as well as she has a granddaughter that is a princess so I found some crown's and the other cutie loves baby dolls. I'm looking for some paper dolls sets to go with that doll. Anyways, I hope to have a couple more done this weekend. I'm having a birthday party for Kaylee and her friend tomorrow. Both are turning 4 this month. Kaylee is pretty excited to have her first "friend" birthday party. It will be fun. I think I'm going to grab some McDonalds for them and have some cupcakes and ice cream. What more could a girl want huh?? :)

my sewing buddy

Kaylee is so funny. She has become my little sewing buddy. Gage has afternoon kindergarden so while he is gone Bridger takes a nap during that time. That seems to be the only time that I have time to do a little something for myself. So Kaylee likes to help me. Then after we are done sewing it is like a tradition that we come in the kitchen together and eat a snack. I can't beleive that she is already turning 4 on the 13th of this month. We are throwing a little party for her and her friend Elle who has a birthday on the 8th of this month. They are like twins. Got blonde curly hair, skinny and picky eaters and overly dramatic. When they get together they remind me of miniture teenagers. It's fun to watch them. I got Tinker Bell party supplies last night as a suprise for them. This is like my first "girl" party.

This is what I did this weekend...

A week ago my husband and I bought a new couch set. Our old one was 8 years old. We bought it after we were married and now that we have been married for a while those things that we bought right after we got married are wearing out. We decided to wait a week before having it deleivered so we could do some "spring cleaning". The top picture with my cute kids sitting on the couch is my old couch and banister. In order to get furniture in and out of our house since it's a split entry home it has to go over the banister. So Friday we moved the old couch set and put it downstairs to make a family room. Well it scraped the banister. We got to looking at it and thought that we could strip the paint off and stain it. Mind you our poor house at one time was a drug house and fix it repairs done to this house or upgrades were done by people on drugs I swear. My house on pot~~haha. We didn't know this until way after we bought the house. We just thought people were weird. Our banister was painted poop brown as we called it and hated it. We had thought we would save our money and just buy a new banister but instead we deicded to paint it black on Sat. after using some stripping chemicals and decided that it might kill us all. We started at 8 in the morning and got done 11 that night but it was so worth it. We feel like we have a new house. I told my husband that I'm going to start another "honey do" list. Poor guy~haha. Our couch is a microfiber but it has a snake skin look to it to make it seem like it's leather. It's so comfy.
