It's off to girls camp I go

Tues. morning bright and early I'm leaving for girl's camp til Friday. Do you think poor dad can handle it while I'm gone??~hahaha. He'll do a great job. He has Gage to help and Kaylee to boss him around~haha.

Friday was Utah's birthday celebration I guess you could call it. My neighbors went and bought a few fireworks and invited us over. The kids had a ball. As you can tell Gage really got into it~lol.

Do we love our babysitter???

or what?? Amy was a sweetheart and babysat for me Thurs. night and the kids adored her to pieces. Bridger thought she made a good resting spot. It was cute. The kids sure love having babysitters over. I guess I should escape out more :)

The Hawaiian party

My good friends Corina, Jodi and I decided to throw a little Hawaiian party last night to kind of enjoy the summer season since it's almost half over. It was so much fun and we had some way yummy food. Had some pulled pork in a tortillia and some teriyaki chicken and I made these frozen watermelon treats. We had alot of fun.

back to basics

We'll I've done this before a couple of months ago but I'm back at it again. A couple of months ago a friend and I went to a fun dating class our church was having. They suggested to make things fun and ask your date out basically like high schoolers do but to ask them to the theme of your date. Well this Thurs. a couple of friends and I are going to have a little beach party with yummy beach type food, a Tiki Bar and some Hawaiian music. I found this cute surfer dude on Disney's family fun site so I printed him off and wrote out my invitation on his surf board and put him by Burke's night stand to find when he went to bed. He thought it was funny. I'll update you some more after the party. We've had alot of fun planning this and asking the guys out. They may grumble about it but deep down they totally LOVE it!!~

laundry boy continues

I was putting laundry away last week and turned to see what Bridger was up to and this is what I saw. He was having a great time in his little cage~haha. He had tipped over the dirty laundry basket which was actually empty for a change~haha and was playing in there. He thought he was pretty funny. I'm thinking he might be a great husband someday and be the one who does laundry for his wife one day. I've trained him well I know~haha

We have babies

We have baby melons, cantelope and pumpkins growing like crazy. I have to admit I don't have much of a life as I'm so proud of them. I have tried since we have lived in this house for 4 years now to be somewhat successful with a garden. This year so far is my year. My poor corn is having issues with earwigs so I found some ways to possibly get rid of them so hopefully it works. I think the tiny watermelons are so cute. I just had to share my exciting news.

Laundry boy..

So every Tues. just happens to be laundry day. Last week I started to fold some laundry and turned around to grab some more laundry and there was my helper. He starts throwing all the clothes out. It keeps him entertained for quite sometime. I wish I could get that excited about laundry~haha

what ya been doing kind of week??

So this week I decided to dabble into a "new" craft with some modge podge and scrapbook paper. I had so much fun doing them. The little clip board I'm going to give to some ladies I visit in my church but I was just thinking of making some bigger ones for my kid's and put their picture on the clip board. They were so much fun to do. The weather is finally hot like summer so I needed something to do while it was hot. I've been in a doll making rutt lately so doing something new was fun. I was going through my pictures this morning trying to clean them up some and was laughing at this picture. Bridger looks like he's in deep converstation with someone. Miss Kaylee always has a dollie in her hand too.

The summer weather..

is here to stay finally. It rained most of June and now that it's almost mid July the summer weather has finally arrived. I took these earlier last week of Bridger and Kaylee swimming. It was Bridger's first time in the pool and he loved it. He loves water anyways and has no fear of it. I think he had so much fun laughing at his goofy sister.

Wisdom???

So friday afternoon I had my top and final wisdom teeth out. OUCH!!! I didn't get knocked out just had the local shots as they call them. My one wisdom tooth had a root so far that it took some of the jaw bone with it and the other the root broke off and he had to dig around for it for sometime and pull it. The Loratab has made my tummy sick and light headed. I'm feeling like a big baby!!~lol. I'm still really sore and light headed. I'm craving real food now!!~lol. Anyways, we had a great 4th of July. Burke and the kiddo's went to the local parade here while I was just a bumm and slept. Then later during the day Burke's dad and brother came over and had pizza and ice cream cake to celebrate Burke's birthday. We were pretty lucky last night and got to watch the city fireworks from our driveway. It was a great view. I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday weekend.
