Princess and the frog

Well last week I decided that we needed to get out of the house of Christmas excitement and go see the new movie Princess and the Frog. What a great movie. Gage wasn't so sure about going and seeing a princess movie but he was busting a gut and loved it too. It was such a cute story and something new besides the traditional princess theme shows. If you haven't seen it go and see it. You'll love it.

My Christmas gift

This year for Christmas hubby decided that it was time that I got out of the dollie box and start making "other" sewing items. He bought me some quilt patterns and classes and bought me a Retro Chic apron pattern. He even bought fabric. I was so impressed. Well I decided to give it a go with making an apron. This is a "test" run apron to see how I did before I made the "real" one. This is some cowboy fabric my MIL had left over so I have a retro cowgirl apron until the other one is made. It turned out pretty good.

Christmas 09 continued

The kiddo's had a great Christmas this year. Since going to Disneyland this summer the kids are still talking about it like we just got back yesterday. Gage really loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ride so he wanted a bunch of Pirate things. It made it easy and cheap since pirates aren't too popular right now ;) Kaylee wanted some princesses so she got a few barbie sized Disney princess and a Barbie house for them. They had a ball. Even little Bridger got into the unwrapping of presents.

Merry Christmas...

I thought I would tell you all to have a Merry Christmas this week and to enjoy family and friends. This year seems like it has been such a blur and it's already the end of the year. Last week we attended Gage's 1st Grade Christmas program. He is the little boy sitting inbetween the two girls at the end by the curtain. They did such a great job. He was pretty excited. I also got a cute little package today from a good friend of mine Diana. Thanks girl!! She gave me some cute ornies and some homemade fudge which OMG it's to die for. It's a good thing we don't live close as I think I would be at her house all the time sampling things.~hehe. Anyways, I wish you all a safe holiday season. Merry Christmas from our home to yours,

Something to make you laugh especially this time of year..

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool,Ralph suddenly
Jumped into the deep end.

He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good
news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love... I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.

The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with hisbathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry...
How soon can I go home?'

Happy Mental Health Day!

Got an order...

That I'm not sure about. I've been so busy getting Christmas gifts done that I'm not thinking straight I swear. Anyways I got an order from my ezshoppe. I got an email from ezshoppe saying that they ordered this item. Well the email address is this: ybtrqe@ibkqjr.com and all the info on the ordering sheet was just like this so it made no sense. I went ahead and sent out a money request for them to pay but I've been thinking about it all morning in panic kind of as I'm thinking this is such a scam. I went ahead and changed my password with paypal but I'm so nervous about it as I had problems with someone trying to get into my paypal account this summer and I finally got access to my account about a month ago. What do you guys think I should do or do ya think I should even worry?

zhu zhu pet craze~~~

I have to admit a couple of things about those cute hamsters. I am a proud owner of two~lol. I'm so not with the times I guess but I had no idea about these guys until the day after Thanksgiving when the news was talking about the craze on these guys. So I went online and had to look at the hot new toy of the season. Well as luck would have it I thought they were the cutest things out there and thought my kids needed one. I think a part of me was just wanting to get it and have bragging rights that I have the hot new toy~lol. Well yeah, no one here has one. Well a friend of Burke's called him a little over a week ago to tell him that Shopko had them online. Well I went on there and checked and of course sold out. I checked all week and how lucky I was to be on at the right time, as I was able to get a couple for Gage and Kaylee on Friday. I started looking on ebay at some accessories and found some cute ideas for clothes for them. So today I made them a snow white outfit and a jack sparrow one. They turned out really cute. I'm just hoping I made them the right size as I have never seen one in person before so I might be doing some altering when they get here on Sat.~lol. I hope you all are having a great week. We got alot of snow this weekend. I was thinking this morning as I was shoveling it that the sunny beach is sounding heavenly right now.

Christmas with LeeAnn

Last night we had our 4th Annual Christmas party with some dear friends of ours that we have been close to now for 8+ years. We had so much fun. Thanks LeeAnn. I have to tell you about my good friend LeeAnn, she is the one who got me started and saw that I had some "crafting talent". I don't know how she saw it but she did. She is the most best friend a person could have. I love her to pieces!! So this year and like every year it is a rule that we make a handmade item to give to each other since our husbands think since we can make our own stuff why buy it. So I made her a huge Santa. This thing is probably 3 times the size of poor Bridger and I know it's clothes are bigger than Kaylee's. He's so fun to make. I also made a little sack for him which holds a little annie inside. LeeAnn made me this cute snowman family and cute jar of sparkling ornaments. She also got me a few other snowman gifts and a fun mickey mouse head ornament. Thanks LeeAnn we love you and your family so much!! (Dessa, I promise I have forgotten about the awards. I'm going to pick them up today and work on them. My poor baby is sick with the tummy flu so it's been one of those weeks already plus the snow just adds to it all~lol. Thanks for the awards)

They are pretty fun as I think modge podgeing things can be fun but wow, it's been alot~I think I'm getting down to the nitty gritty of it all. I also participated in a fun ornie swap that Cindy at Thimbleprims held and she sent me my ornie. Thanks Cindy!! She looks good on the tree.

Oh Christmas tree

My sweet husband was really feeling the festive Christmas mood lately and we got us a huge real tree this year. This is the second real one for hubby and I but the first one for the kiddos. They had fun going to the tree lot and picking it out. I love though how all of our decorations are on top. I'm wondering what it will really look like in 24 days~haha. I also got an "early" Christmas present from Jody at Star Spangled Pretties. She is such a cute doll. Thanks Jody!!
